Netware 5.1 partitions are not recommended to span WAN Links. Optimized for LAN.

Translated LDAP implementation with not NDS namespace integration

Supports only cross-platform NDS and does not publish all directory services using LDAP

No integrated desktop management support available. Requires separate purchase of ZENworks

NSS lacks these services.

 

No integrated VPN solution available. Requires separate purchase of BorderManager.

Lacks advanced protocol and media support. No QoS

WebSphere lacks support for transactions, component and queuing services. Only provides JDBC for database access. Does not support SMP and supports 4GB of memory

Development environment limited to Java. No support for EJB. Only support for CORBA object model
