2003 Enterprise Exchange Server Consulting Services

For companies currently operating their email utilizing Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, a migration to Exchange Server 2000 or Exchange Server 2003 can be a daunting endeavor. Microsoft Exchange Server migrations are usually best left to professionals with experience in order to avoid downtime of the mail servers and to best optimize the mail server software for security and future growth. Avidware's professional Microsoft services team can assist or implement your organization's migration from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange Server 2000 or Exchange Server 2003. An upgrade to these more powerful versions of the Exchange Server platform will help to ensure that your organization has the scalability, reliability, security, and performance in order to meet all of your local and remote mail users needs.

Using the Microsoft Exchange Public Folder Migration Tool

The Microsoft Exchange Public Folder Migration Tool (PFMigrate) is a new tool that enables you to migrate both system folders and public folders to the new server. You can use PFMigrate to create system folder and public folder replicas on the new server and, after the folders have replicated, remove replicas from the source server. Unlike Exchange 5.5, you do not need to set a home server for a public folder in Exchange Server 2003. Any replica acts as the primary replica of the data it contains, and any public folder server can be removed from the replica list.
